"ULAY, OH" by How I Became The Bomb

Sometimes the deepest of meanings are hidden in the simplest of gestures.

There are those among us who really feel and express passionately more than others. Writers, painters, performance artists and the like. There is intensity even if the feeling was from a long time ago; a lifetime, almost. It isn’t because they know not to carry on, but because their emotions are nearly as strong as time itself, maybe even stronger. Sometimes we don’t need a relationship to love someone very deeply.

Marina Abramovic is a notable artist in her field and has many famous friends. Frank Uwe Laysiepen is her former lover and collaborator.

I like her general appearance here. She looks like a Sister in Faith.

Although it was said that "they met and talked the morning of the opening" of this event, no one could have thought that it would turn out like this. Of all the spectators, she may have not expected Ulay to be one of her “sitters”, because it will be a totally different perspective for her.

“The storied couple was united again, if only in a performance, if only for a moment.”

As soon as Marina realizes that it’s Ulay sitting in front of her, you can see her face light up. You can almost read their eyes, as they look at each other this way once more after decades, as if:
“Hey… It’s you!”
“Wow, you still look beautiful!”
“It has been a long time…”
“Yes, it has been…”
“Do you still remember…?”
“I do…”

It’s usually Marina Abramovic who leaves an impact on her “participants” in these shows; but this time, she was just Marina and the man in front of her was just Ulay. Never mind what happened way before and what happened next, they lived in that “now”. It was beautiful. She was so taken aback she breaks down in tears. A small spoken conversation transpired between them, they held hands as other visitors applauded loudly.

And maybe through their eyes, a very heartwarming “hello”, “sorry” and “goodbye” happened all over again…

“ULAY, OH” by How I Became The Bomb

There she was like a picture.
There she was, she was just the same.
There she was; he just had to know that she had forgot his name.
Ulay, Ulay, Oh.

Thinking back to the last time.
On the wall as they turned away.
Walking back; was it just a dream or did he hear her say?
Ulay, Ulay, Oh.

Tried his best to forget her.
Tried his best to just keep his stride.
Kept his word, but he knows he heard
Ulay, Ulay, Oh.
Ulay, Ulay, Oh.

There she was like a picture.
There she was, she was just the same.
There she was; he just had to know she had not forgot his name.
Ulay, Ulay, Oh.

Ulay, Ulay, Oh.

Ulay, Ulay, Oh.

Ulay, Ulay, Oh.
Ulay, Ulay, Oh.
Ulay, Ulay, Oh.
Ulay, Ulay, Oh.

There he was like his picture.
There he was; he was just the same.
There he was, he could never know she could never give his name.
Ulay, Ulay, Oh.

Thinking back to the last time.
On the wall as he turned away.
Turning back, did he even know?
Did he ever hear her say,
Ulay, Ulay, Oh?

Tried her best to forget him.
Tried her best just to keep her stride.

Ulay, Ulay, Oh.
Ulay, Ulay, Oh.

There they were like the picture.
There they were, they were just the same.
There they were, but he walked away and her eyes could only say,

Ulay, Ulay, Oh.

LOVE FIERCELY.

"failure notice"

I'm going to put this here just for laughs. I received this text message through my mobile phone, strangely as a result of sending an email to a co-worker using another device.

The system, apparently, has feelings of its own. #humuhugot ! HAHAHA!!!

>_< :-P

"FALLING"

“Falling” makes us vulnerable. We have to choose the ones worth suffering for. It is unfortunate that it could come to a point where our daily lives are gravely affected. Or is it just our stupid selves?

Sometimes out of our frustration, we crazily wish that the feeling itself was just a turd we can flush down the toilet. >_<

A-HA - 'CRYING IN THE RAIN', Official Music Video

My father and I share a favorite song in this 60s tune.

(I DO NOT OWN THE VIDEO)

"CRYING IN THE RAIN" as performed by A-Ha (originally by the Everly Brothers)

I'll never let you see
The way my broken heart is hurting me
I've got my pride and I know how to hide
All my sorrow and pain,
I'll do my crying in the rain

If I wait for stormy skies
You won't know the rain from the tears in my eyes
You'll never know that I still love you so
Though my heartaches remain,
I'll do my crying in the rain

Raindrops falling from heaven
Could never take away my misery
Since we're not together,
I'll pray for stormy weather
To hide these tears I hope you'll never see

Someday when my crying's done
I'm gonna wear a smile and walk in the sun
I may be a fool but 'til then, darling, you'll
Never see me complain
I'll do my crying in the rain

Oohh-oohh, aahh-aahh....
Oooohhhh, aaaahhhh....
Oooohhhh, oooohhhh....

Since we're not together,
I pray for stormy weather
To hide the tears I hope you'll never see

Someday when my crying's done
I'm gonna wear a smile and walk in the sun
I may be a fool but 'til then, darling, you'll
Never see me complain
I'll do my crying in the rain,
I'll do my crying in the rain,

I'll do my crying in the rain...
Mmmm....
