WARNING: SPOILER
This motion picture’s
theme is somewhat off. I’m not really keen on comparing plots, but it’s like PACIFIC RIM with a satirical twist. The
film sort of failed in consistent tone, being a sci-fi comedy at first and then
shifting into a suspense drama later. It’s confused with itself; it suffers
from an identity crisis.
The visual effects are
cool, but very limited, which also reminds me of the Godzilla movies. I don’t
know why they chose the secondary setting to be Seoul. Maybe because that’s the “place to be” nowadays and also partly
because some of the producers are originally from that country or of that
descent. It just had to be (South) Korea.
Few characters though
still not that solid. Nevertheless, it’s quite an entertaining motion picture.
Not bad for an independent film.
